We’re excited to announce an awesome new addition to the Undisputed community – BETA tournaments! Soon you’ll be able to compete against your fellow community members for the top spot on a global ladder, or battle your way through a massive community-wide bracket tournament for the right to be called the best and some pretty cool prizes.

For the next week, we’ll be hosting an official beta tourney. This beta week will give us time to make sure everything is working well for the upcoming launch. It’ll also give you the chance to get in there and grab a few test matches, see how the system works, and start sizing up your competition for when the real thing starts.

Check out the Tournaments community page for more and to see how to join and compete this week.  The steps below are a quick 'how to' on how to get started.

  • Log in to the UFC Undisputed community

  • If you haven't done so, link your console to your community ID

  • Visit the official tournaments landing page (there's a tab in the top navigation bar on the site now)

  • Click the Official THQ Beta tournament in the top left of the page

  • Next, click 'join'

  • Now, you can start arranging matches with those who are participating in the tournament, but make sure the matches are unranked, private matches.  So you'll need to exchange gamer tags and arrange for a time to drag each other into the cage.

  • Get fighting, and climb that ladder!

If you’ve got any questions about tournaments, we've got answers.  Visit the official community FAQ. We've got a lot more details there, so check it out.

Congrats to member DANGARCIA, who just won the Alternate Undisputed 2010 Box Art Contest with 21% of the total Community vote.  We were big fans of his design too, which we think has a great sense of motion and effectively draws the eye inward to the logo.  By winning, DANGARCIA earned 5000 bonus points and an Affliction t-shirt.  You can view a whole album of contest submissions on our  Facebook page.

For the first time ever, the UFC is going to Boston for UFC 118: Edgar vs Penn 2! The card features a lightweight championship rematch between the knockout and submission king BJ Penn, and the reigning Lightweight champion Frankie Edgar, who defeated Penn in a very controversial decision at UFC 112. Boxing legend James Toney whose words have yet to prove his actions in the cage will take on the elite grappler Randy Couture, and Kenny "Kenflo" Florian is out to prove his stay in the UFC against Gray "The Bully" Maynard which may very well be the fight of the night.

Wth our latest UFC 118 fight card in UFC Undisputed 2010, you can play out the Penn vs Edgar or Maynard vs Florian match. We'll post up the stats next week to see how everyone did. See below for the simple download instructions and get in the cage and play UFC 118!
