I think this game is the ****! I'm a little pissed about the cpu vs. cpu not being there and the reigning down knee glitch when your on top of your opponent in half guard, but other than that, the gameplay is serious! All in all i give it a 9 out of 10!

Nevermind that glitch thing i mentioned, its just some kid who's been doing the stupid "quitting" glitch and is trying to get away with it. Sorry for even saying that

Awesome fighting game, but crazy lag online. Will this be fixed?

The game play itself is amazing, sure little additions can be made (use of cage for example), but for the first in the series I can't complain about the actual fighting, other than slight tweaking of the submission system. If flash KO's occur, so should flash submissions.
Online is great aside from the occasional heavy lag, and the awful quitting, that needs to be changed to losses asap, it will absolutely kill the online ranked game otherwise. Adding a tournament format with lobby would be a nice addition eventually. Along with some kind of spectator mode, being able to watch others/friends would help this series explode I think.
I'd hope THQ refers to the sticky ***SUGGESTIONS*** Post that has been up for a couple weeks now, tons of great ideas in there.

PS3 has Heavy Lag, and just a lil side note, for those who use wifi forget it, its way to bad. I sincerely hope THQ fixes this, because its killing the online play. I had my doubts about gamespy hosting this, they have been notorious in the past for SERIOUS lagging problems.

I wish. I WISH. you guys had put CPU vs CPU in I want to see all those other fights on the same PPV cards we are on, I want to see how the hell Matt Hughes beat GSP those things for a few of us gamers are crucial for next year.

minor things though I'd have added for next year like players aging new randomize fighters rising to the top (just like NBA/NHL) they all do it. some little technical fixups that can be fixed for next year like minor glitches online and lag

I just really want to be able to view other fights before and after CPU vs CPU so i can scout my opponents habits im not to much of an online guy so this would help the reply value on the single player portion

Amazing game, an easy 9/10. I'm saving 10/10 for the sequel because I know you guys can make this game even more amazing. The gameplay is great and that does not need any change for next time around, if anything maybe improving on applying submissions. Now time for some constructive criticism...

The bad and the Ugly:
*Glitches: Though I find them rarely they are there. I turned Rashad Evans spine into a slinky when I round house kicked his head, didn't know Machida had such power. Evans' body became all twisted. Sound defect happened when "rocking my opponent" everything turned silent for the rest of the entire match after my opponent recovered. It's like the whole crowd left the arena.
*What I hate: CAF, very limited choices of nationalities, limited options of nicknames and not being able to create your own or leaving it absent. No choice of long hair (now I understand why Guida was left out). Other than that CAF is very good! Worst model, Mark Coleman.

For next time around, add-ons:
Lot of people mentioned great ideas on the forums, hope I don't sound repeatitive.
*Entrances with customizable soundtrack the player can add. *TUF mode. *Title matches in exhibition mode. *Better record keeping, or more detailed such as offline PvP & fighter W/L against who. *I like the online spectator suggestion from post above. *Open class exhibition. *Classic 8 or 16-man UFC tournament. *Use of cage (even throwing your opponent through the door if the fight constantly takes place against it: rare occurance). *Illegal blows and pokes (say if player mistakenly holds an L1,2, or 3-button and R1,2, or 3-button at the same time while striking: rare occurance). *Zuffa owns rights to PRIDE, suggest unlocking the ring and arena!

Once again VERY GREAT GAME! Keep up the good work, hope 2010 is PERFECTED!
