Here are the rules, all: easy to read, easy to follow! There aren’t many things here that can get you banned, but below are 4 simple rules to abide by. It’s a shame when we’ve got to take action, but if a user is caught doing the following, we’ll send a warning. If a member’s forum behavior doesn’t change, we’ll be forced to level a temporary, permanent, or flying arm ban (IP address ban).

…which is a drag because the awesome online fight camp manager and community tournaments require community site access…

1.  Posting racist, overtly sexual, or vulgar/offensive content and language in the forums. Everyone is welcome on the community, so keep this in mind when posting.

2.  Spamming/Trolling/flaming other users. If you participate in these activities, you will be warned. Upon a second infraction, we’ll level a temporary or permanent account ban. Please note: there’s a difference between smack talk and flaming…

3.   Any activity meant to undermine the administration of the site isn’t tolerated.

4.  Bringing up piracy, wares, or torrents are strictly forbidden. Doesn’t  matter if its video games, movies, etc, we treat all cases the same and we take this violation very seriously.

We also drew up some protips for those who want to become righteous community members. Check them out to become elite.

1.  We and tons of other members are always glad to help with a question, but take the time to read the forums. There’s a wealth of knowledge you all have built up there. Use the search bar in the forums section, it can only help!

2.  Make your forum signatures manageable. When your fellow members see 9 .gifs in a sig, their internet service provider cries. Large or numerous files posted can slow forum loading speeds down a ton.

3.   If you see objectionable content, don’t create a forum thread about the objectionable content. Just send a site administrator a PM, or click the little “Flag Abuse” button below the post. Works like a charm.

4.   Do not feed the trolls. Starve them and they leave.

There you have it. Learn them, live them, love them -- we'll See you out there!

 Couple questions

1. It says no overly vulgar/offensive content if I were to post a swear and it comes up as **** would that be warnable/banable?
2. What is trolling? I've seen people use the word a lot but they just call people trolls, wouldn't that be flaming?

the profanity filter is in place to stop vulgar/offensive language from being displayed.  But we'd prefer that people keep it clean.

Trolling is this.  A base and vile practice.

Shouldn't this be a sticky? Or are they still broken?

So we get banned waiting for fish? ;(

Wikipedia:

It is thought to be a truncation of the phrase trolling for suckers. That phrase is itself derived from the fishing technique of slowly dragging a lure or baited hook from a moving boat, waiting for fish to strike, a technique known as trolling.

if you think it'd be helpful, i'll sticky it.  Also its in my signature.

We'll work on getting the stickies back to where they were.  Nice insight @Dutchfighter.

Trolling is a beautiful craft... and must be honed carefully.
