I have to disagree with the people saying submissios shoulnd't be changed.

What Neven said was they were balancing its out against the AI, making submissions a little easier to do and kockouts a little harder. These aren't big changes, and they add MUCH NEEDED balance to the overall gameplay.

I KNOW how to submit AI on expert, and do it a lot, but I DON'T ENJOY doing it anymore. Its so hard to do that you end up getting pulled into the same lame strategy just to pull one off realiably. i personally dont enjoy lying on my opponents, and blocking transitions until he is gased, then submitting. it gets tedious and boring.

I'm not a mindless casual gamer, I just want to be able to pull submissions like a I see so many fighters do in real life.....is that too much to ask? (thankfully Yukes have answered Eye-wink)

I would love to be able to reverse a transition, get into side control and pull of a kimura because of my opponents over-agressiveness, rather than sitting on him for ten minutes until he is gassed. Or I woudl love to reverse a kick and work the ground game into a triangle with demian maia, without having to kick him in the stomach 500 times beforehand.

To say there is a strategy to submitting is true, but it doesn't change the fact that this specific strategy is tedious and boring, if I could pull submissions just a little bit easier through different situations and from different points in a fight, then it would make this game about five million times more fun.

Probably too much too ask for on this patch, but skills need to be based more on the fighter too. I play people online who submit me at full health with Lesnar when i'm using Mir. It reminds me of the old UFC Sudden Impact Game. In the next installment they need to make the fighters more real like. Lesnar and Rampage shouldn't be sub wizards and Kenny Florian and Damian Maea shouldn't be knock out artists. The fighters are almost cookie cutters within each discipline and just a few standing strikes have been changed. I'm very happy with their first attempt for a UFC game, but the fighters need to be personalized more in the next game. We will probably never see Lesnar or Rampage attempt, much less lock in a kimura in real life, so they shouldn't be able to pull it off in the game as easily as a Noguera or a BJ Penn. And before anybody says anything dumb, I know how to get out of a sub, I've probably done it over 300 times online. The only discipline that works better that I've noticed is that it's easier to gain rubber guard with the top BJJ guys. They need to transition this into standup, transitions, grappling, and takedowns. Last thing, not all BJJ guys pull guard from the clinch, that definately needs to be adjusted

I'll take it one step further, there are only 3-4 guys in the game that actively try to pull guard without having the beginning of a submission. Noguera, Leites, Miea, and maybe another. I train in jiu jitsu and there are other things to do from the clinch like leg sweeps and spinal compressions. It's kind of an old school move that is not so effective in today's mma. I know you can drop to a double or single leg, but the bjj guys need to have more options from the clinching than pulling guard or flying armbar. Hopefully I'm not the only one who feels this way. If the wrestlers can submit from almost any position, it's only fair for the bjj guys to have a takedown or two in the clinch. Hopefully sequels to the game will include tweaks like this, and not just new fighters.

instead of resetting records (if that is even going to happen), why don't they post pre and post patch records so we can see who the fakers really are. i'm not great, but my record sucks much worse than it has to because people feels the need to protect a phony fight record.

hey dummies, if you disconnect you're still a loser

But I love fighting my friends. Why can t i fight with my Caf against his caf ? that's bs . Hope THC does something for that ......
